The LinkedIn post I can’t stop thinking about
I'm a dedicated reader of LinkedIn but like most social media, I've forgotten most of what I read as soon as I leave.
Except this one post last week.
It went something like this:
“Dear Coaches, stop telling CEOs what to do every day on LinkedIn! They are overwhelmed. Trying every day to do their best in uncertain times, followed around by seemingly never-ending problems. Worried that they’ve made the right call. The weight of the business on their shoulders. The last thing they need is you shouting more ‘shoulds’ at them."
It's true. She was on the money.
And I wondered - am I part of the problem?
I aim to share something useful or at least entertaining every day, but perhaps I should keep my expertise to myself? Is what I share even actually helpful?
But I realised - although what we share may be helpful we show up every day with a greater purpose - to show you what's possible.
The subtext of every post is:
“I can help you”
“I can make your life & work better”
“I can help make your job so much easier”
We know our impact ... that’s why we share our endless advice.
We know you will be better with an expert walking alongside you.
We know the benefits will 10x the cost.
At least.
We are changing lives every single day.
We want that for you, too.
We know what's possible is far beyond what you let yourself dream is possible.
All we need is for you to want more.
That’s what the posts are really for.
As you start to let your desires for 2026 bubble into your awareness, ask yourself - what do I really want? What is really holding me back? Is it in my work, or in my life - or both? What help would transform my year - and what is stopping me asking for support?
